Meet the Director
My name is Sara George and I am the Owner & Director of Mini Scholars Discovery Academy I & II. I have a passion for quality childcare and early childhood education; it shows in everything I do daily.
I have been in childcare and early childhood education for over 18 years and hold a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education with inclusions in Montessori & Reggio theories of learning. I have a passion for quality childcare and early childhood education; it shows in everything I do. I love sharing my passion with families in the community.
I am married to my husband of 17 years and have 3 amazing children, 3 fur babies and 17 chickens. I love gardening, the outdoors, and music. I look forward to working with all of you.
CLASSROOMS
CLASSROOMS
Infants (0-18 months)
​Our infant classroom provides quality infant care promoting healthy learning and development. We respond to each child based on their individual needs. Babies are provided the opportunity to make independent choices with love and support from their caregivers.

Toddlers (18-35 months)
Our toddler room provides quality childcare and early childhood education to promote the development and independence of each child. The children will continue to explore the world around them. Routine and structure are important for this age, so we incorporate both each day.
The classroom is designed to provide optimal learning for your child through exploration, discovery and hands-on learning.

Preschool (3-4 years)​

Our Preschool classroom not only provides the continuous quality childcare and early childhood education development and independence, but it allows for the children to learn more challenging and fun ways to learn through discovery and exploration of the classroom with more advanced Motessori-Reggio materials.

Pre-K/Kinder (4-6 years)
Our Pre-K/Kinder classroom provides quality care and an exquisite nature based Montessori-Reggio learning environment preparing children for Kindergarten and Elementary with materials being provided to set them up for success in all areas of learning, both intellectually and socially/emotionally. ​

Our mission is to provide the best possible care and learning environment for each child in our care. By offering a Montessori-Reggio-approach curriculum and materials for early childhood education, we offer well-prepared classrooms and a wide variety of activities that stimulate the child's natural love of learning.
We respect each child as an individual with their own developmental timetables, allowing them to experience their own stage of development, and helping them feel success without pressure. We provide a nurturing education that will last a lifetime.
